Walter Hood - The Community Whisperer
Walter Hood ’81 is a man of extraordinary passion who is living his life to the fullest as an artist, designer and educator. He is the founder and creative director of Hood Design Studio, a landscape architecture firm based in Oakland, California. He is also a full-time professor of landscape architecture, environmental planning and urban design at the University of California Berkeley.
Frye, Martin and Williams - Hall of Fame
The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation (NBCAHOF) will host its annual hall of fame induction ceremony at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta during Hall of Fame Weekend. Among this year’s stellar class of honorees for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is retired Chief Justice Henry E. Frye, inducted in the category of Law; and Mitchell A. Martin, inducted in the category of Business/Industry. Additionally, Anzio Williams will be honored at the annual Legacy of Leaders Alumni Luncheon in the category of Distinguished Alumnus.

For the second Chancellor’s Town Hall event at North Carolina A&T State University, Harold L. Martin Sr. has called on actress, advocate and brand ambassador Gabrielle Union, political strategist Angela Rye and global news correspondent Lisa Ling.

The 2017 Preseason FCS Coaches Poll was released in August with the Aggies ranked No. 25. The Aggies finished ranked 20th in the nation in the coaches poll and the FCS STATS Media Poll following the 2016 season.

The N.C. A&T Aggie Alumni National Convention hosted by the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Alumni Association, Inc. is now accepting workshop proposals. The deadline for proposals is September 15, 2017. RFP documents are available for download online.
