Endya Frye
On March 17, the College of Science and Technology at N.C. A&T hosted the second annual Women in Science and Technology Luncheon. Perhaps no other attendee was as excited to be there as alumna Dr. Endya Frye, who returned to the university as the events keynote speaker and as a living example of the many possibilities for women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
N.C. A&T celebrated its annual Founders Day program and convocation, Thursday, March 23, in Harrison Auditorium.
 
Pamela McCorkle Buncum ’81
Congratulations are in order for Pamela McCorkle Buncum ’81 who was recently recognized as the 2017 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Distinguished Alumna for North Carolina A&T State University.

Announcing the 2017 Alumni Awards
The N.C. A&T Alumni Association is pleased to announce the following winners of the 2017 Alumni Awards:
  • Velma Speight Young Alumna Award – Ms. Jasmine Gurley ’12
  • Howard C. Barnhill Distinguished Service Award – Mrs. Catherine Simmons ’94

The Alumni Awards and Class Reunion Banquet will be held May 13, 2017, at the Greensboro Marriott Downtown. Look for more information regarding the awardees and the ceremony in the next issue of the Alumni Times.

Alumni Association Annual Meeting:
The North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association will host its annual meeting at 6 p.m., Friday, May 12, at the Greensboro Marriott Downtown located at 304 North Greene Street.  All alumni are invited to attend and hear updates from the board of directors.  Proposed amendments for the Constitution and Bylaws will be presented.
Alumni Reunion
All alumni are invited to celebrate during reunion weekend with the classes ending in 2 and 7. Don’t miss this weekend to reconnect with classmates. The deadline to register for the weekend is April 15. Register for Alumni Reunion Weekend 2017
