North Carolina A&T State University students were awarded 19 of 21 prizes in the Energy, Water and Waste Research Poster Competition at the third annual Conference on Green and Sustainable Technology in November.
The poster competition, open to all undergraduate and graduate student researchers studying topics related to energy, water and waste conservation, asked students to explore proposed solutions and creatively communicate how to address environmental challenges through “Sustainable Development.”
This was a technical conference for engineers, scientists, researchers and practitioners in engineering, renewable energy technologies, architecture, construction, construction materials, and related fields. It was organized by the Center for Energy Research and Technology at N.C. A&T.
There were a total of 46 entries to the poster competition. The judging panel included faculty members from A&T, industry professionals and educators from the local school system. Cash prizes ranged from $100 to $700.
First place winners included: Travis Waller, Daniel Oldham, Somsubhra Chattopadhyay and Bhasker Jha. Second place winners included: Albert Onochie, Richard Bradley, Raymond Nwachukwu, B. Chola, Tarell Taylor and Zachary Chiz. Third place winners included: Stanley Cantrell, Pravin Chopade, Mohammad Sayemuzzaman, Ashraf Fadiel, William White, Mathew Lipscomb, Niya King, Nihal Rayes and Anthony Kinslow. |
