Students from the Department of Visual & Performing Arts at North Carolina A&T State University will be featured performers in July during the Roanoke Island Festival Park summer performance series in Manteo, N.C.
For three weeks, the students will be in residence performing two shows per week, one children’s show and one musical. All children’s shows are 10:30 a.m., while all musicals will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Visitors Center or the day of the event. The children’s shows will be “Fabulous Me, Fantastic You!,” which will run July 3-5; “The Tortoise and the Hare,” will run July 10-12; and “Rapunzel” runs July 17-19.
The musicals include, “Songs I have Always Wanted To Sing!,” that runs July 2-3 and July 5-6; “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” will run July 10-12; and “Smokey Joe’s Café” runs July 17-19.
