"The band goes by the name, "Blue and Gold Marching Machine." A machine is defined as having several parts, each with a definite function and together performing. It takes each part in the machine to apply work in order to function, not one part can fail or the entire machine will fail. For years the band has been functioning through every trial and setting goals.
The Macy's Parade was one of those goals and is soon to be a great accomplishment. It’s important for the band to make it to Macy's to reward ourselves and the past members of the band who worked day and night to make it possible to even be allowed to have this opportunity. It’s also important because it will be a great accomplishment for the band as well as the community."
