The Department of Human Development and Services at North Carolina A&T State University will host the seventh annual Rehabilitation of Racial and Ethnic Minorities with Behavioral Addictions (REMBA) Conference April 18-19 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro. This year's conference theme is, “Moving Outside the Box of Trauma and Addiction: Fostering Resilience, Hope, and Recovery in Communities of Color.”
The REMBA Conference attracts rehabilitation counselors, community counselors, school counselors, counselor educators and supervisors, human services personnel, HR professionals, administrators, students, and others interested in learning more about addictions in underrepresented communities. CEU's & CRC's will be offered.
The planning committee is seeking presentations on drug and alcohol addictions, effects of addiction on families, ethics in addictions and/or trauma treatment, gambling addictions, love/relationship addictions, and multicultural issues in addictions and/or trauma. The deadline is Monday, Feb. 25.
