Civil engineer professor Dr. Ellie Fini can add another accolade to her list of accomplishments. On Feb. 28, Fini was named to the Triad Business Journal’s 2013 40 Leaders Under Forty list at a ceremony at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Fini has been working with biowaste for the past four years to create an adhesive alternate to expensive petroleum based adhesives. She has been working with colleagues to create a spin-off company for the university, PiGrid.

In years past, she has been named outstanding junior researcher and rookie of the year in A&T’s Research Excellence Awards.
