North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is the October 2013 Tom Joyner School of the Month.

The Tom Joyner School of the Month campaign is designed to raise scholarship money for students that attend historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).All monies raised through the campaign by both the university and the Tom Joyner Foundation family will go to deserving North Carolina A&T scholars.

“During these stressed economic times it is admirable that organizations such as the Tom Joyner Foundation make a considerable effort to assist students at historically black colleges and universities,” said Chancellor Harold L. Martin, Sr. “We are excited to be chosen as the October School of the Month and encourage our North Carolina A&T alumni community to be of service to our students.”

Each year the foundation selects 11 HBCUs to participate in the giving campaign. During the month of October N.C. A&T will be promoted on the Tom Joyner Morning Show for the entire month in an effort to raise funds from listeners, alumni and friends. The university will also use its funding arms to gain support from faculty, staff, students, alumni and community and corporate partners.
