Legacy Lecture Series Tackles Social, Cultural Challenges

North Carolina A&T State University will host the Legacy Lecture Series sponsored by the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame, Tuesday, Jan. 28, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., in the Academic Classroom Building Auditorium.

Panel guest include reality TV personality, Omarosa Manigault; Judge Glenda Hatchett; Ms. America 2011, Tray Broughton; and journalist Jeff Johnson. Also on the panel will be Royall Mack, CEO of Ciara Enterprises, LLC.; Andrea Young of the Andrew Young Foundation, Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., CEO of TWD, Inc. and Canisha C. Turner, president, N.C. A&T Student Government Association.

"The panelist will share their thoughts on what tools they have used to overcome the cultural, economic, social and political challenges. What we do today will help shape the nation and the world of tomorrow," said Sheila J. Allen, co-chair of the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame committee.

The panel is a national initiative of the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame. The 2013-2014 Legacy Lecture Series, themed “Building Dreams Through Visions of Leadership” will focus on the development of professional character, ethical standards, entrepreneurship and leadership skills for students.

The event is free and open to the public.
