A Message from the National Alumni Association
|
Dear Alumni:
Throughout our history, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has weathered the storms of segregation, integration, political unrest and economic uncertainty. Today, we are proud to say that through all of the trials and tribulations, we have persevered. As we continue towards academic excellence and success, I want to assure you that we, the National Alumni Association, Inc., are committed to supporting our alma mater and the goals outlined in the Preeminence 2020 strategic plan.
This past year, we embarked on an ambitious journey to serve our alumni through the implementation of an Integrated Alumni Relations Model. We ask you to visit http://www.ncatsualumni.org/main/newmodel/ to review the presentation. We are well on our way to meeting a number of key benchmarks, including a new Constitution and By-Laws and releasing a new strategic plan for our association. Please take the time to review the proposed constitution and by-laws at http://www.ncatsualumni.org/main/proconstit/ and send your comments to the N.C. A&T Alumni Association, 200 N. Benbow Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27411 or email them to edaac@ncat.edu (attention: Claudette Bennett) by June 15, 2014.
As we approach the end of the fiscal year, I ask that you make a financial donation to support our 16 national alumni scholars. The scholarship office received more than 400 applications for the four freshmen alumni scholarships. This program provides a full-tuition scholarship to 16 high-achieving students. The need to provide scholarships for our students continues to increase. Your help this year, now more than ever, will greatly impact our students and their ability to be successful.
You can make a donation by calling 1-888-248-2821 or by sending a check to:
North Carolina A&T State University
Office of Development Operations
1601 East Market Street
Greensboro, NC 27411
All checks should be made payable to the N.C. A&T Foundation, Inc. and should designate the Alumni Association or Alumni Scholars in the memo section. You can also make a donation on-line at www.ncat.edu/giving/index.html (designating the Alumni Association or Alumni Scholars).
No amount is too small or too large. Our fiscal year ends June 30, 2014, so I ask that you please make your donation as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your support of our Alumni Association.
Dr. Claudette Bennett ‘75

Without the gifts of alumni and friends, N.C. A&T would not be the exceptional institution it is today. |
