WNAA 90.1 is broadening its reach by joining the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Radio Network, Channel 142 on SiriusXM satellite radio.
Three WNAA talk shows will make their debut on SiriusXM the week of Feb.1:
- “It’s a Matter of Your Health,” a health magazine hosted by Greensboro physician Dr. Veita Bland, debuting Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m.;
- The CORE, WNAA’s newest talk show, focusing on diverse subjects affecting academia and the broader community, hosted by Dr. Sharon Warren Cook, professor of social work at A&T, debuting Thursday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m.; and
- Head to Toe, a guide to ethnic hair, nail, and skin care that includes celebrity interviews, and health and beauty topics, hosted by Ezima Murphy, debuting Friday Feb. 6, at 4 p.m.
All three talk shows are 30 minutes in length. SiriusXM is the world's largest radio broadcaster measured by revenue and has 26.7 million subscribers. It creates and broadcasts commercial-free music; premier sports talk and live events; comedy; news; exclusive talk and entertainment; and the most comprehensive Latin music, sports and talk programming in radio.
