Looking Ahead to 2015 at N.C. A&T |
The university’s calendar for 2015 has a few entries already in place, including the opening of a new building and the demolition of an old one, annual events and a special year-long event that will begin next fall.
Here are some highlights of the coming year on campus events:
January
- The new Student Health Center will open at the corner of Bluford Street and Benbow Road.
- Monday January 12: Classes begin.
- Wednesday January 14: The demolition of the Memorial Student Union will begin.
- Saturday January 24: The Blue and Gold Marching Machine heads back to Atlanta to defend its championship of the Honda Battle of the Bands at the Georgia Dome.
- Friday January 30: February One celebration.
February
- February 10 and 11; N.C. A&T again will host the North Carolina Entrepreneurship Summit. The competition invites students from all 17 UNC system campuses to identify some of the state’s most pressing social problems and take a business-oriented approach to solving them.
March
- Monday March 2 through Friday March 6: Spring break
- Saturday March 7: MEAC basketball tournament begins, Norfolk, Scope Arena.
April
- Thursday April 30: Classes end.
May
- Saturday May 9: Commencement.
August
- Friday August 14: Kickoff of the N.C. A&T 125th anniversary celebration.
October
- Saturday October 24: Homecoming
