The North Carolina A&T State University Football Aggies, the Historically Black College and Universities National Champions, were invited by Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan and members of the city council to celebrate winning the inaugural Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the Governmental Plaza in downtown Greensboro.
The celebration featured speakers Mayor Vaughan, N.C. A&T Chancellor Harold Martin Sr., Aggies head coach Rod Broadway and star running back Tarik Cohen, who had 295 rushing yards in the game, the fifth-highest total NCAA FCS postseason history. The award-winning Blue & Gold Marching Machine also performed on the plaza. After the celebration, the football team, Athletics Director Earl Hilton and Chancellor Martin joined the city council and Mayor Vaughan at city hall to receive a resolution honoring the outstanding 2015 season.
