The United States Department of Justice’s Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) has awarded the offices of counseling services at North Carolina A&T State University, Bennett College and Shaw University a grant of $549,999 for the consortium’s “Be the Change:  Resources, Intervention, Services, and Education” project.

N.C. A&T-Led Consortium Receives Share of $300 Million DOT Grant
A consortium led by North Carolina A&T State University has been awarded a $1.4 million grant, renewable for up to five years and $7.8 million, by the United States Department of Transportation’s University Transportation Centers (UTC) Program.

Week of Aggie Love
The Aggie Student Alumni Association will be hosting the “Week of Aggie Love,” Jan. 30-Feb. 4. The week will feature Young Alumni Giving day on Feb. 2 as well as additional activities including community service events, the 57th Annual Sit-In Anniversary Breakfast, Spare Time Entertainment, Boxcar Arcade and a Greensboro Swarm basketball game. Aggie Certified Alumni Recruiter Training
All alumni interested in representing N.C. A&T at college fairs and recruitment events must be certified annually through Aggie Certified Alumni Recruiter Training. To be certified, you must watch the entire training webinar and complete an assessment by the set deadlines. New training sessions are available. If you were certified during the 2015-16 academic year, your certification ended June 30, 2016. You must be recertified annually to represent the university. Session IX online training is now available Jan. 16-27, 2017. Assessments will take place Jan. 16 – Feb. 3, 2017.

Aggie Certified Alumni Recruiter Training Please note there is no pre-registration required for online training. The training video will not be available until the first day of training.

A&T State University Alumni Association, Inc. is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the board of directors.  The association is seeking to fill four at-large board seats for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2017. Nomination forms, submission instructions, candidate requirements and deadlines are available online. Self-nominations are welcome. The nomination period closes Monday, Feb. 27.
