| Congratulations are in order for Pamela McCorkle Buncum ’81 who was recently recognized as the 2017 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Distinguished Alumna for North Carolina A&T State University.
McCorkle Buncum received the award March 9 during the 2017 MEAC basketball tournament in Norfolk, Virginia.
“It was indeed an honor to receive the 2017 MEAC Distinguished Alumna Award representing North Carolina A&T State University,” said McCorkle Buncum. “I owe so much to my alma mater and I am happy to serve and give back any way I can. This recognition will be one I will cherish forever.”
McCorkle Buncum is currently serving as the board chair of the North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association. Her resolve to give back to her beloved alma mater is evident in how she offers not only her time, but also her talent and treasure.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented annually during the tournament to an outstanding alumnus/alumna based on contribution and support to their respective university.
