In 1927, Henry Clinton Taylor, a recent graduate of Syracuse University, accepted the position as instructor of art at the North Carolina A. and T. College in Greensboro, N.C. By 1930, he founded the first department of arts in the institution’s history. When this department was organized one of its earliest students was a young man named Preston Haygood.

North Carolina A&T got everything it wanted out of its 45-0 win over archrival North Carolina Central in football action Saturday afternoon at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium. The Aggies can start with the fact that N.C. A&T shutout their archrival in the most lopsided contest between the two schools since the Eagles rejoined the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 2011.

To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry into all athletic venues, a clear bag regulation has been implemented this year that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into these venues. The University Administration reserves the right to impose this regulation at any event.

Text-to-Give to the N.C. A&T Alumni Association

On Friday, Nov. 2, and by popular demand, a new giving tool was introduced at the N.C. A&T Aggie Alumni Homecoming Concert that allows alumni to text to give. The tool was launched with the announcement of a $315,000 contribution from the N.C. A&T Alumni Association Board of Directors to the Power of Do Capital Campaign. Concert-goers were asked to donate using the new tool to match the gift.
