Aggie Advocates Corner – Aggie Alumni Early Voting Day

Whether called absentee in-person or by any other names, an early voting season is about to kick off all across the United States of America. Early voting was started as a way for more citizens to exercise their duties to civic engagement and achieve higher voter turnout. Currently, there are 34 states including the District of Columbia that has early voting. Only 27 of those states plus the District of Columbia have no excuse early voting whereas the other 7 require some stated reason as to why you cannot vote on Election Day.

As Aggies, it is our obligation to exercise our sense of duty and participate in civic engagement by voting; not just in presidential elections but in all elections. That is why the N.C. A&T State University Alumni Association, Inc. along with the Director of External Affairs are introducing the First Annual “Aggie Alumni Early Voting Day.”

Join Aggie Alumni all across the country as we turn out to early vote on October 25, 2018. Please engage your chapters as well as any other Aggie Alumni to early vote on this day and then post on social media using the #RealAggiesVote.

Listed below are links to early voting information in select states. Please be sure to check and make sure you know all of the requirements for early voting in your state including any ID requirements. If your state is not listed or if you have any questions please contact Ray Trapp at rtrapp@ncat.edu.
