N.C. A&T Alumna Creates Endowment to Honor Her Husband after His Battle with ALS

| In 1996, John Crews Jr. and Courtney Bush Crews both graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University but never crossed paths. John was an all-American football player who dominated the fields from 1992-96 at Aggieland and Courtney was a psychology major who had a desire to help people.

Dudley High School Auditorium in Greensboro, North Carolina, over 200 Dudley High School Panthers, Dudley High Alumni, and A&T Aggies were gathered for a historic day. For the first time in several decades, the local community celebrated “Dudley Day”, a former annual recognition of the life of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s second president Dr. James B. Dudley.

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University alumni are donating nearly $8,000 to the General Scholarship Fund in memory of Anthony “Tony” Mangol during a homecoming tradition he is credited with helping to establish more than 40 years ago.
