N.C. A&T Students Still Need Your Support During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Greetings Alumni and Friends,

The end of the 2019-2020 academic year is in a few weeks, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University continues its focus on the welfare and education of all our students. A month ago the university initiated an emergency fund to assist our students in transitioning online and off-campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of date, the university has raised nearly $80,000 to provide financial support to 516 Aggie students. Currently, there are approximately 2,000 students on a waiting list with requests for support that would provide funding for reimbursed travel costs to return home, food insecurity, technology (to include laptops and internet connectivity), and housing.

Many of our students lack access to technology to complete their studies online, and this obstacle is overwhelming. As the university moves to prepare for the summer and fall semesters, we remain uncertain as to the impact that COVID-19 may continue to have on our operations. Your financial assistance provides students with the necessities that help them remain on track in their rigorous studies, both on-campus and online.

As Aggies, we believe in the spirit of helping each other, especially our students in need. As we continue to persevere through this pandemic, the university is working diligently to get more funding to students, and reviewing applications weekly to assess the needs and share them with you.

Remember that your investment in the Student Emergency Fund will not only serve as a gift, but also a lesson to our students about how Aggies come together to support fellow Aggies in times of need.

Make your gift today to be the difference in the life of an Aggie student because that’s what AGGIES DO!

You can donate by texting “AGGIE” to 71777 or by clicking here.
