N.C. A&T Alumnus, Merl F. Code Contributes $500,000 to the National Alumni Scholarship Program
Merl F. Code ’70 is a man who is known for many firsts in his life. In 1983, he was the first African American to become a municipal court judge in Greenville, South Carolina. He was also the first African American to become chairman of the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, to serve as chairman of the Board of Governors for the University Center of Greenville, and to chair the Greenville County United Way Board of Directors. His extensive resume covers 40 years as a prominent lawyer, community leader, and business owner.

Coach Washington Joins The Pridecast Track and Field
Aggie Pridecast Goes Live Aggie Men T&F Announces One of the Nation's Best Recruiting Class
North Carolina A&T's Aggie Pridecast went live on Monday, May 18, as Director of Athletics Earl Hilton, head football coach Sam Washington, senior defensive back Mac McCain and junior quarterback Jalen Fowler joined the show. We discussed COVID-19, football season tickets and conditioning. North Carolina A&T men's track and field's 2020 recruiting class is the talk of the nation. Milesplit United States gave the class an A-minus grade. The class includes the No. 1 athlete in the country as he will join a program that is the four-time defending MEAC indoor champions and the three-time defending MEAC outdoor champions.

N.C. A&T Alumnus and ECSU’s 11th Chief Executive, Dr. Thomas E.H. Conway, Jr. ‘76 Passes
Former Elizabeth City State University Chancellor, Dr. Thomas E.H. Conway, Jr. has passed. Installed as the university’s 11th chief executive officer and sixth chancellor in 2017, he took over operations in 2016 when he was appointed interim chancellor by former UNC System president, Margaret Spellings. He then retired in 2018.
