North Carolina A&T alum Sonya Stewart has been named as one of 25 of the Washington Business Journal Minority Business Leaders.
Stewart, a vice president within Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions–Civil division has been recognized for her entrepreneurial drive, creativity, and decisive leadership.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Stewart earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering in the late 1980s. Since joining Lockheed Martin in 1992, Stewart has worked with the U.S. intelligence community, served as the vice president of diversity workforce management and helped develop many corporate-wide leadership forums.
