Timothy Shropshire ’08 is living his dream of being a successful comedian who travels across the country entertaining large crowds. What’s unique about his comedy is that he only does “clean entertainment” and has gone viral several times with more than 56 million views on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

Alumni Association Dissolution Update
In an effort to forge a closer relationship with its more than 55,000 living alumni, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is creating more direct connections with its dozens of alumni chapters around the country. A formal review of the N.C. A&T State University Alumni Association Inc., resulted in a unanimous recommendation to dissolve the associated entity. The association will be replaced by an Alumni Advisory Council with direct relationship to university’s leadership and a chair appointed by the A&T Board of Trustees chairperson. The changes take effect July 23, 2020.

The end of the 2019-2020 academic year is in a few weeks, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University continues its focus on the welfare and education of all our students. A month ago the university initiated an emergency fund to assist our students in transitioning online and off-campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

North Carolina A&T head football coach Sam Washington joined the Pridecast to discuss the NFL Draft and all the scenarios for the upcoming 2020 football season considering COVID-19. Former Aggie forward Ronald Jackson has signed with Overtime International Sports Agency in another step toward his dream of playing in the NBA. Jackson has exhausted his collegiate eligibility.

2020 NCAT Reunion
Aggie Alumni Recruiter Training Update
In light of the global coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), N.C. A&T has decided to cancel all in-person recruitment efforts until July 2020. Additionally, we have suspended all Alumni Certified Recruiter event participation (in-person and online). The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will handle all recruitment efforts until further notice. Please note that we will be coordinating virtual new student send-off efforts with the alumni chapters. The Office of Alumni Relations will provide details surrounding those efforts very soon.

The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Alumni Association, Inc. will host the 2020 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 20 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Please stay tuned for updates from the Alumni Association in regards to the link to RSVP for the meeting.
