N.C. A&T Alumna Tina Taylor Leads Global STEM Initiatives for Youth
Before the pandemic hit, Tina L. Taylor ’95 spent the majority of her time in South Africa operating two nonprofits: Heritage STEM Camps Foundation, a venture capital STEM boot camp, and Heritage Leadership Academy, a boarding school for girls. Both organizations engineer ideas that impact thousands of minority women and children in the U.S. and Africa by driving community transformation and building economic parity.

N.C. A&T Young Alumnus Tylik McMillan Mobilizes Young People to Take Action
It all started for Tylik McMillan ’19 at the dinner table helping his grandmother make preparations for the local NAACP chapter or school board meetings to address issues in the community. Today, he serves as the national director of the youth and college division for the National Action Network, the civil rights organization founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Bluford Library Archives: The Legend of the Aggie Bulldog
For generations, the name and likeness of the Bulldog have embodied the Aggie Spirit of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University as much as “Blue and Gold”, singing “Dear A. & T.” and yelling out “AGGIE PRIDE!” From 1900 to the early 1920s, the A&T College sports teams were and still to this day are called the “Aggies” in reference to “Agriculture.”
