The School of Education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University recently received reaffirmation of accreditation for seven years under the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) standards.
Youth Group's effort to assist the homeless community in Atlanta
The Aggie family participated in the Celebration Bowl Community Service Project in Atlanta, Ga. by donating toiletries and giving cash donations toward the purchase of blankets to support the Powerfully United Radically Equipped (P.U.R.E.) Youth Group's effort to assist the homeless community in Atlanta.

A&T Register Seeks Input from Former Editors, Reporters and Advisers
North Carolina A&T State University’s award-winning student newspaper is looking for 250-500 word essays from former editors or reporters, along with a picture to include in an online Timeline. Audio or video essays are also welcome. Essays should include the submitter’s name, role at the paper and how long the submitter worked at the paper. Submitters are free to talk about specific stories they worked on for the paper. Send essays to Kim Smith at kcsmith1@ncat.edu no later than Jan. 31. 
AYANTEE celebrates the 125th anniversary

AYANTEE Ad Space Available for Alumni Organizations
The 75th edition of the AYANTEE celebrates the 125th anniversary of the university. Alumni organizations are invited to be a part of this special memento by purchasing ads. Half page ads for $100 and full page ads for $200 are available for purchase. Space must be reserved by Feb. 1, 2016. All payments are due online by March 1. Images must be 300 dpi and include the name of the organization. Full page ads may include a 300-word feature about the organization. Save the Date: Next Aggie Certified Alumni Recruiter Training Begins January 18
All alumni interested in representing North Carolina A&T State University at college fairs and recruitment events must be certified annually through Alumni Recruiter Training. To be certified, you must watch the entire training webinar and complete the assessment by the set deadlines. Watch the Alumni Times in January for more information and links to complete the training.

The North Carolina state primary election is March 15. Remember to register and then vote on election day, and encourage friends and family to do the same. The ballot will include the $2 billion bond referendum for statewide infrastructure, which includes a $90 million investment for the new Engineering Research Innovation Complex at North Carolina A&T State University.
